Full Fleet Wrap for Johannesburg Logistics Company
How we transformed a 12-vehicle delivery fleet into a rolling billboard — cutting brand recognition time from seconds to milliseconds on Joburg's busiest routes.
The Brief
A mid-sized Johannesburg logistics company came to us with a problem: their 12-vehicle delivery fleet was a patchwork of plain white vans and faded magnetic signs. Drivers were hard to identify on site, and the brand was invisible on the road.
They needed a cohesive, professional look that would:
- Make every vehicle instantly recognisable
- Survive the daily punishment of highway driving and loading dock manoeuvres
- Be completed within a tight 3-week window before their peak season
Our Approach
Design Phase
We started with a brand audit. The client had a logo and a colour palette but no vehicle branding guidelines. Our design team created three concept directions — from a clean, corporate wrap to a bold, high-contrast full-colour design.
The client chose the bold option. We then adapted the design across three vehicle sizes: panel vans, 1-ton bakkies, and a single 8-ton truck.
Material Selection
For a fleet that covers 800+ km per week across Gauteng, durability is non-negotiable. We specified:
- 3M IJ180Cv3 cast vinyl for all curved surfaces and bumpers
- 3M 1080 Series for flat panels on the truck
- Laminate overcoat rated for 7 years outdoor exposure
Production
All 12 vehicles were printed in-house on our large format printer, which gave us full colour control and allowed us to batch-match colours across every vehicle — critical for fleet consistency.
The Result
The fleet was completed in 18 days — 3 days ahead of schedule. The client reported that their drivers were being recognised at client sites within the first week, and two new inbound leads mentioned seeing the vehicles on the N1.
