A fast-growing tech company in Midrand had just moved into a new 400m² open-plan office. The space was functional but sterile — white walls, grey carpet, no personality.

The CEO wanted the main feature wall (14m wide × 3.2m high) to tell the company's story: where they started, what they believe in, and where they're going.

This was a collaborative project from day one. We ran two workshops with the client's leadership team to extract the key themes:

1. Origin — the garage where the company was founded
2. Growth — a timeline of milestones rendered as a city skyline
3. Future — an abstract forward-looking section using the brand's gradient palette

Our design team produced three full-scale mockups using photorealistic renders of the actual wall space. The client approved the third concept with minor copy adjustments.

The mural was printed in 8 panels on our large format printer at 1440 dpi. Colour consistency across panels is critical on a job this size — we ran test strips before each panel to verify colour accuracy.

We used a premium air-release wallpaper vinyl, which allows for bubble-free installation even on textured surfaces. The client's walls had a light orange-peel texture, which this material handles without issue.

Two installers completed the job over two days, working after hours to avoid disrupting the office. Panel seams are invisible at normal viewing distance.

The mural became an immediate talking point. The client's team started sharing photos on LinkedIn before the installation was even complete. Three of their enterprise clients commented on the wall during site visits in the first month.

The CEO told us it was the best investment they'd made in the new office — more impactful than the furniture.
